The above link will bring you to a site that lists each state's planned parties.

As Americans, we have a solemn duty to our country and its Constitution, its Founders and our children, grandchildren, and ourselves. If you are concerned for any of them, feel obligated to defend them all in any way possible.

We do not want and are not looking for any armed resistance to get our country back on its Constitutional track. Let us follow any means we can to avoid conflict now and in the future.

Protest loudly, protest peaceably, protest with dignity.

Some parties are suggesting 'period' dress- such as worn by the original protesters in Boston. Use your imagination. All parties are asking for each person to bring a camera, video and still.

Perhaps some will decide to include a 'tail gate' party and barbecue as well: use your imagination to make this not only a memorable, but effective, event. Use the event to make new friends, contacts and have some fun in a serious way.

Prep on.

  2. Tom- I googled Minnesota Tea Party and got a list of sites to check- chose the one nearest me. There is a list for each state on the page... lemme update the blog and include that state by state listing.

  3. The closest one to us is 70 miles away and I cannot have the teens miss it. I am certain that we are witnessing a historic stand.

Have fun at your Tea Party

  4. Amen, Jennifer- I'll be traveling 84 miles one way as well. Making an attempt to get a van full of Patriots to come as well. Sure wish I could get the Kid to come but I'm sure his mother won't let him. It's certainly going to be educational, not only for our children, but for our elected officials.
Whatever happens, I'll post a story and pix of our event- gosh, the newshound in me is hoping for some decent activity and great sound bites from attendees!
Have lots of fun, bring a lunch for the kids and prepare for any kind of weather that can come- after all, this IS Minnesota!
    God bless.

  5. I saw some videos online and I swear some of the speakers were loyalists. I thought I heard "and we will pay duty to the king as our sovereign" to which all the people cheered. I think the crowd thought the guy said that they "will slay the king with our brethren."

Don't let them get away with these shenanigans!

  6. One thing we must be very careful of during our tea events is to not make any brash statements about overthrowing anyone or any thing, creating a revolution or any kind of violence whatever- even raising our voices in angry shouts could easily be misconstrued by police and reporters. (I know without doubt reporters who write their story before arriving at events, then do all they can to encourage people to make statements to fit the story they imagined en route.) At a news event, any photographer will follow either his reporter's instructions on what to shoot or will follow his own ideals- either way can be detrimental to those who cause any kind of action that could be portrayed opposite the truth. Trust me: I did enough of it as a shooter and reporters love to cut and edit to make their point, not the participants.
If you do hear someone making those kind of statements, assume they are ACORN agitators and ignore them or gently ask them to leave because that is not what these events are about.
We are protesting wasteful spending and lack of Constitutional restraint by our government.
We want to slay no one, not even King George III in efigy. Please be sure to make that clear in all your acts these days.
